andover tri results

The results are up!

440m swim - 8m 54s
30km bike - 1h 10m 21s
7km run - 44m 45s
Total time - 2h 04m dead

So slower than the first triathlon but that was to be expected with an extra 10km on the bike and an extra 2km on the run. On the positive side my swim split was 17s faster for the extra distance but I did get a draft for the second half, however the rear mech seized up after about 22km which left me with just three gears (small, mid and big ring) all on the smallest cog on the rear cassette! Stiff hilly climbs into T2 meant that I was halfway round the run with shin splints and cramping before I felt a half decent stride begin to assert itself. More importantly had a great recovery run this evening so there might be time for one more big run before America?
