first session from ellie

Warm-up: Stretching raising heart rate etc. Easy problems and routes
Bouldered pinks and some yellows. No falling practise.

3 x 2 sets of Frenchies (rest 1 min between sets)
Set 1 - fine. Set 2, failed on pullup #6. Set 3, failed on pullup #5.

3 x 10 leg lifts to horizontal
Tough.

Routing pyramid (lead): 5+, 6a, 6a+ 6b, 6b+, 6c, 6c, 6b+, 6b, 6a+, 5+ (Rest should be approx. equal to climbing time)
At HCC. All routes overhanging except 6c. Effort on the way up the pyramid and the peak was 4, felt that some of this was because the progression was steeper than normal. One 6c onsight failed to suss the sequence on the last move. Tried 5-6 times without falling off.

Lessons learnt:
Breathing during frenchies and leg lifts is essential.
Short and sharp can be hard.

Must do better:
Breathing during core work
Include falling practise
Recovery drink and snack

STG: HCC crack in 4 weeks
MTG:
