big weekend training

Scaled back the plans for a big day and spread it out a bit to accommodate some climbing with Kat and Rach.

Friday night = swimming, one mile in new pool. Steady state endurance seems ok, but there's little ability to sustain anything harder or faster at the moment. Also head position was very high when breathing, need to swim more downhill.

Sat morning = bike. 3.5 hours out on an alternately damp, windy and muggy morning. Need a bike computer for motivation by numbers and again, steady state is ok but lacking guns for any significant effort. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/189388889

Afternoon climbing. Evening stretching.

Sunday evening = running round Otley fields. Going for a time, scary to realise how far off 2010 pace I am! Felt good to run hard though, its not all about "long steady distance" http://connect.garmin.com/activity/190085167

I'll do a big day once I can sustain it! Next weekend? ;)
